Mr. Karsten, as the kids call him, is an educator at Brompton Community School in Fredericksburg, Virginia, where he lives with his girlfriend, dog, and two cats. He has a B.A. in Psychology with a minor in Global Culture and Commerce from the University of Virginia. By day he's a normal second grade teacher, but by night he is a sorcerer, practicing communal magic and weaving tapestries of story-telling. Karsten is also a character actor, performance artist, spoken word poet, published author, beat boxer, miniature painter, dog trainer, 3D printer hobbyist, Glowforge enthusiast, amateur juggler, technical cyborg, literal Boy Scout, sad clown, young Santa, fun uncle, goofy dancer, and bad singer.
